The world of poker has commemorated Mike Sexton after the longtime color commentator for the World Poker Trip passed away on Sunday at the age of 72.

His death was revealed on Twitter by fellow Poker Hall of Popularity member Linda Johnson, who said Sexton had passed away of prostate cancer.

” Mike Sexton passed away quietly in your home earlier today surrounded by relative,” Johnson composed as she announced Sexton’s death.

Matt Savage, the executive director of World Poker Tour, stated losing Sexton was like losing a brother.

Previously this week, when Sexton’s fight with prostate cancer first ended up being public, one-time World Series Poker bracelet-winner Todd Brunson paid tribute to the 72- year-old.
